Mandinga - Visual Development for a Narrative-Driven Game

Mandinga is a personal IP I’ve been developing as a visual narrative project with a strong critical and satirical tone. The story takes place in a distorted version of modern Argentina, where folklore, political allegory, and hip hop aesthetics collide under a dark conspiracy masked as popular justice.

As the creator and concept artist, I’m exploring how environment design, character development, and worldbuilding can work together to tell a story about manipulation, identity, and resistance.

The visuals in this post represent early explorations of tone, symbolism, and atmosphere. From enemy designs to locations marked by illusion and control. This project reflects my ongoing interest in using art as a tool for storytelling with cultural and social resonance.

Mandinga is still in development, but its vision is clear: a world where appearance and perception are weapons, and where the true enemy is the story we’re told to believe.

Main character: "Gaucho" design with Franco Glellel
